Just to close the loop on this. I installed the new (to me) Dish dual OTA adapter today, and whereas the old one didn't, the new one pulls in a low VHF channel no problem. Mission accomplished, thanks for the help!

I had read that an early version of the dual tuner had issues, and a detachable USB Cable (see here, OTA ADAPTER reply #30). This is the one that I have already. This same post also says that there's a later one (Lark model) which was branded either AirTV or Dish, with a non-detachable USB...

Thanks. But as I said, the issue is not just with recording, it's also with live OTA. And it's not a problem for either live or recorded on the Hopper, just on the Joeys.

Very similar issues with programs spontaneously disappearing (even when on the top level DVR recordings page it shows they are there, but when I go to actually play them, poof). I think they have some serious indexing issues.

The reason for this is because of all the guide issues, what you think is a series, your receiver sometimes does not, it just thinks it's a one off event so the series record options are not given. This is also why some series episodes are not recorded even though you have a series timer set...

Yep me too. Missed Big Little Lies last night and The Expanse last week. Not to mention a bunch of live sports over the weekend. "Just" create new timers?! What about all the timers for shows that aren't currently running? Now we're likely to miss some of them also unless we take notes of when...

Dear Dish guru's, I am experiencing "Channel Signal Loss" issues on one of my 2 722s, but only on certain channels (e.g. BBCA, MSNBC). When this happens, rebooting the receiver resolves the problem for a time, but then it reappears. I get "three greens" for 110/119/129 on the system...

As you can tell Zach, a lot of folks are concerned Dish are dropping FSC in HD, and customer support is giving inconsistent answers. What have you been able to find out?

If you go to the guide for 149, you will find the "Moving to 406" message coincides with the times for both the Sunday PL games (0530-0730, 0800-1000 PDT), so just click on each of them and set a "once" timer just like for any other program.
