But with HS17 I can have all my tv's Transmit 4k. The HR54 hooked up to one set will not Process a 4k signal. It will send out 4k to clients but that's it.

I had my HR54 hooked up to my 65'' 4k living room Sony. 54 will not play a 4k signal. Now i have my four 4k tvs able to watch 4k with HS17....Only issues right now, it has some bugs. Plus slow 30 second skip...Guess you cant have it all.

Downside is the HS17 is going through some hiccups My 4 tv's get a notice that they are not 4k HS17 needs to be reset. Plus the 30skip delay. Not sure why but it does bother me.

I upgraded because the 54 won't push out a 4k signal. It's a shame. I love the 54, why on the world would they not make it 4k compatible?

Had the HS 17 Installed last week. Couple of issues. First runs slower then hr54. Also not recording from app? Keeps telling me my tv is not 4k? Have to reset unit and uncheck 720 Bizzare

Ok, Is it possible to hookup a bluetooth adaptor to 4k mini? I run my audio straight into my receiver via hdmi. Ive seen optical and usb on back on mini... for possible hookup?? Thanks any assistance

Just changed out from HR44 to HR54. Also changed out to new HDMI cable. Anyone notice picture not as good as HR44? I have made all proper settings verified though Direc tv. Still does not look as sharp?? thoughts?

Called Direc, they are sending a HR54 no charge. Have to ship back HR44. Thanks to folks on this board for letting me know about swap out!

I think they more then cover their costs. I think charging receiver fees is excessive. Dish is not the only one doing this.
