Artie Lange Suspended by DirecTV for P*****g Incident

Doesn't surprise me a bit since he came from the Howard Stern show. IMO

No extra features on rental Blu-Ray discs from Netflix.

It's only been the last two movies I rented. I know some of the others movies the extras came on a separate disk so I didn't pay attention.

No extra features on rental Blu-Ray discs from Netflix.

When did this start. My last two Netflix rental didn't have any extras on them. The extras and un-cut versions shows up in the menu. But click on them and it tells you this is a rental disc, you have to buy the disc to get the extras. Besides the better PQ from disc vs streaming, the extra...

    Mac OS X User Thread

10.6.8 will run Quicken fine as it still got Rosetta. But if you update to 10.7, Rosetta will be gone.

    Mac OS X User Thread

Quicken will not run on the new Mac OS. OS X 10.7 (Lion). Quicken uses old code from the PPC (cpu) days. Since Apple has gone to Intel they had a emulation program (Rosetta) that would run these old programs. However, with Lion they did away with Rosetta. Quicken is looking at adding some of...

    We're Back!

Sounds like when someone sent me a fax at work and had written on it. "Call me if you don't get this fax":.

Netflix: Streaming or discs by mail?

I don't like the PQ of streaming movies. Blu-ray's PQ is a lot better. So I'll be sticking to Discs for now. Redbox is tempting. But I rent older stuff sometimes.

The time has arrived, R.I.P Directv

I have the HR-23 and HR-24. The HR-24 is a lot faster than the HR-23. The HR-23 drives me nuts being so slow after using the HR-24. So I understand how the 8300 seems lightning fast to you. The HR-24 still lags a little but it's a lot closer to the 8300 than the HR-23.

    Boy body-slams his alleged bully

Yes, good for him. That's what it takes to get the bully to leave you alone. Brings back memories from long long ago. I was bullied in Jr High. Took one fist fight and no more bully. BTW, back then guns and knives weren't no where around. It was fist or nothing.

    RIP Elizabeth Taylor

RIP. It a shame we are losing so many of the early stars. Most of the people under 35 I've told today don't even know who she was.

What HR box did you have Hemi? I have the HR-24 and it's a lot better than the SA 8300 I had with cable last year. Granted the HR-24 is not as fast as the 8300 but not as slow as the earlier HRs. The UI is so much better, for me, than the 8300 I had. Hopefully Cisco will/have rewrite the UI on...

    New HD channels coming!

Well, I like hearing Hemi experience with cable. And his comparison between the two. I just wish Comcast here had better PQ because they have most of the HD channels that D*. Not all but most. That would cut my bills down because I have voice and internet with Comcast right now.

    New HD channels coming!

Well, I look at it as rumor. We've been wanting some rumors. Now we got it. We can guess, hope what it will be or if it will be but won't really know until D* does something. Rumors in the past (e.g. 2007) were more viable than they are now. Anyway I hope Satracer is correct and D* is finally...
