The 2009-2010 College Basketball on Multi-Sports Pack Thread

Last year, a few people noticed that the only WCC games where blackouts were applied were LMU games, including a game at UCLA that was blacked out. I wonder if blackouts are done via keyword at times and if "Loyola Marymount" was part of the title, it got that treatment.

The 2009-2010 College Basketball on Multi-Sports Pack Thread

The reason for the Big 12 - FSN blackouts are because those third-tier games are only supposed to be available within the states where the competing schools reside. So a K-State game should only be available in Kansas (KC market also gets them because it bleeds into Kansas). The games used to...

    ESPN - Black

Are you guys sure it is fixed? Both 73 and 206 are showing a grey screen on my HR-21. I'm able to turn over to ESPN2 on both 72 and 209. I'm also able to see other MPEG-4 HD channels. I've reset my receiver. Any ideas?

    Telefutura in Buffalo or Cleveland

While that D* channel list shows it as available on 408 to Cleveland subs, it is not available.

    College football package?

Nothing. The PAC-10 games aren't blacked out like the SEC games are.

    College football package?

Used to be nice when those games were on FSN West 2. Thinking I can get them at my new home through ESPN360.

The local ABC station will provide you several PAC-10 matchups throughout the year, mostly at 12:30pm and 5pm PT. As a general rule with the PAC-10 TV contract, a PAC-10 game on ABC must be carried to the entire conference footprint and that obviously includes the Bay Area. Versus will have...

He occupies that same timeslot on the national feed of Fox Sports Radio.

Pac-10 hopes to launch its own TV network

Actually it works quite well, but both conferences would need to coordinate scheduling of various sports. PAC-10 men's basketball is usually on a Thursday/Saturday rotation with some exceptions. Mondays - ACC women's sports Tuesdays - ACC men's basketball Wednesday - ACC/PAC-10 men's...

    Big Ten football championship game?

I've heard differently, and I thought it came from JoePa's own mouth so I'll try to find the quote, that he'd rather play Pitt in a five game contract with three games in Happy Valley. Again, I'll try to find the quote, but JoePa also mentioned how it was necessarily to have seven home games in...

    Big Ten football championship game?

Did Delany miss the WAC implosion? The WAC has only nine members and hasn't had 10+ since before the MWC breakaway. Using the WAC is a poor example. Their expansion was 1) Too big 2) Into areas they had no business going (OK and Texas). Stay w/UNLV and SJSU, you should be OK...

    Big Ten football championship game?

ND is out there, but they still lack the AAU membership that the Big Ten seems to require. Pitt, Syracuse, Rutgers, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa St. - they all have the AAU designation. You know, the Big Ten already has a 12th member on the academic side in the University of Chicago, a former...

    Big Ten football championship game?

One of the other things that JoePa also mentioned was how the Big Ten is essentially dormant after Thanksgiving. That is something the Big Ten has addressed though, allowing teams to move games post-Thanksgiving this year and the conference office will schedule after Thanksgiving starting next...

    Big Ten football championship game?

My apologies. I did not see it there when I first read it. Still, I think it is overblown. Paterno's press conference been put on a ton of CFB related sites and fans immediately jump to 18 different realignment scenarios before they get to the part where JoePa talks about how little his...
