Want to combine signal from two 18" dishs for more signal?

I love this idea, but something not mentioned is how you would power the LNBFs. Double signal in means double power going out of receiver to power the equipment. That would have to be coordinated or boosted as well... hmmmmm....

    Nasa & Angel @ Echo7

I decided to use my Invacom Quad and it worked great, but when I try the dedicated 119W LNBF it would not work. So I probably have a problem with: diseqc port, cable, or LNBF - I'm sure its the LNBF and I have a few spares. Thanks to all.

    Nasa & Angel @ Echo7

Thanks for all the suggestions, been nothing but rain for days, had a short break over the weekend, but no end in site. Hopefully I can get to troubleshooting this soon.

    Nasa & Angel @ Echo7

Thanks, I'll give that a shot after I replace my LNBF. "The List" might need a little updating, at least the polarity for Angel if they want to be accurate for that transponder. I appreciate the quick feedback.

    Nasa & Angel @ Echo7

Well, nuts.... Maybe my LNBF is bad. Could you please verify the freq/sr/polarity/etc for me that is working for you?

    Nasa & Angel @ Echo7

Nasa & Angel @ Echo7? Is Nasa and Angel not available on Echo7 (119) anymore? I tried pulling it in on my Pansat and Twinhan with no luck yesterday. I haven't tried looking at it in a while and I re-did all my stuff and would like to start watching it again. From "The List": I used 12372...

    actuator motor and ethernet cable

I was actually thinking of doing the same thing with 2 CAT5e cables. 1 Cable, 4 wires to the + motor power, 4 wires to the - motor power. 1 Cable, 2 wires for each of the signal lines, giving me 4 wires as a spare. I believe that gives me enough awg to run the connection, and as you said not...

I will definitely keep everyone informed. I just moved some months ago and had to transport all my Ku gear to a new house (new to me) - that was interesting. This place is outside of the city so lots of room for dishes :) I anticipated moving when I built my "Ku dish rack" so I could...

Some of the guys at work are constantly poking fun at this great FTA hobby of ours. It is always in good humor and today they ran across something that really made me laugh. They are always joking that people that do what I do (FTA stuff) are the same people that wear those tinfoil hats...well...
