    Finally signed up....Disappointed

Another thing you could try is to use component cables instead of HDMI (I know, analog evil, digital good...). I got two new HR24s to replace HR20s and both looked very washed out and soft compared to the HR20s. This was on two different TVs, adjusted resolutions, native setting, TV pic...

    DECA / HR24

Just thought I'd post an update if anyone is interested. The installer didn't have time to attempt to connect the HR24 to the switch as I described but he was kind enough to leave an extra DECA adapter so I could try. First I hooked up my HR20-700 this way (deca->switch, HR20->switch) and it...

    $156.17 to install MRV

They billed to my account also. Same deal as Jason, $99 + $49 + $49 credit, but the CSR asked if I wanted to pay by credit card or just have it billed to my account. I also have autopay turned on.

    HR24 DECA Problems HELP

Actually forcing a software update was one of the first things he did while he was installing (forgot to mention that part).

    MRV Questions

Also you should check out the thread "HR24 DECA Problems HELP" by wildbill129. Basically it says if your DECA isn't working with the HR24s once it's set up, do the satellite setup on them again. It would have saved my installer a lot of time if I had read that entire thread earlier!

    HR24 DECA Problems HELP

I had the same experience as you wildbill. Everything was set up and the 2 HR24s weren't working correctly. The installer checked everything, made a couple phone calls, rebooted/unplugged/restarted the receivers and was baffled. I remembered seeing this thread and saw that you did a satellite...

    DECA / HR24

Quick question about DECA and my HR24. I know you don't need the DECA adapter with the HR24 but I was wondering if it would work to use it anyway. What I would like to do is have coax to DECA adapter, DECA ethernet to switch and HR24 ethernet to switch. I have an XBox 360 on the same switch and...

    Help! HR24 Problems.

Update....looks like I'm going to be keeping both HR24s after all. I was about to give up yesterday and hooked my HR20 back up........PAINFULLY SLOW! I had to give the HR24 another shot. I got spoiled using it for one night. I ended up giving the component cables a shot even though I thought...

    Help! HR24 Problems.

Well, I used the HR24 last night to see how it would perform. The blacking out of the screen really is not that big of a deal. It only happened one more time and is fixed by shutting off and turning back on or changing channels to something with a different resolution (like 1080i to 720p)...

    Help! HR24 Problems.

I doubt it's the tv set. I have Xbox360, PS3, and HR20 (2 different units) go through the receiver to the TV (all same input on the tv), and they all worked great.

    Help! HR24 Problems.

Thanks CFB, will try. I haven't done it yet because HR20 was fine, hooked up 1st HR24 had problem, hooked HR20 back up it was fine, hooked up 2nd HR24 had problem. I will give it a shot though. Maybe the Pioneer receiver just doesn't like the HR24. Here's a (low quality) snapshot of the...
