I'm connected via power line adapter. Confirmed I'm connected pandora and Netflix work. I'm on SW U417 which is dated 4/7 so I think that's the issue. I actually have 2 Wallys and both are on this same SW and do not show the Alexa icon.

I'm surprised nobody is mentioning getting a ViP211k or Wally and adding their own EHD. The OPs viewing needs are pretty basic why would they get something that has a monthly DVR fee attached.

Wanted to update. I received Wally (upgrading from 211) and was able to connect EHD right after activation, no additional activation fees or calls. It did require reformatting the drive so you will lose any saved shows but I was expecting that so it was not an issue.

I was told via chat it was, but I'm still waiting for delivery to confirm this. Going from 211 EHD to Wally EHD.

Has anyone been able to confirm that Wally will use the same USB OTA as Hopper (194858). Would think so but all none of the product descriptions have been updated to show compatibility.

I am going to have Dish do a new install. I have an OTA antenna currently in the attic with cable runs to some rooms (not the rooms I want Dish to wire). Will the installer be willing wire the antenna to the dish wiring if I pay him a few buck, or is this not something they do?
