    Sous Vide

We use our Sous Vide primarily for beef roasts. Cheapest cuts. Takes better part of a day to cook. We slice thin. Makes wonderful roast beef sandwiches.

Loss of Channels on Intelsat 21?

Some of my channels on I21 seem to have gone missing like France 24? Is it my trees? Or have they gone elsewhere?

Position Setup and Signal Finder Menus.

I’m working with an Edision OSMio 4k; 2020-04-20. Enigma 2020-04-09. I would like to know how to use the Position Setup and Signal Finder menus in the Setup Screen. Specifically: Tune, Autofocus, Calibrate, Calculate and Go To. What are these for and how would I use them? Thanks.

    Actuator Miscounts

This is the method that I use as well. In my case it works out to about 10 clicks per degree.

    Actuator Miscounts

Thank you Brian, Arlo, Magic Static, and Michael for your observations of dish position drifting; your comments of what you did to try to fix the problem; how well they worked; and suggestions of what I might try. As Magic Static suggested, I will try the shift function on my ASC-1. I don’t...

    Actuator Miscounts

But are drifts common? I've had this problem since I came back to satellites in 1983. Brian does 1000 counts on 5 or so satellites. I do a lot more than that. I use my 5 dishes to watch tv. Maybe that alone suggests that there will be drift regardless about how careful I am in setting things up...

    Actuator Miscounts

I have had a problem over the years of drift of my satellite locations necessitating my reprogramming their positions. My masts are vertical to a fraction of a degree.Dishes are mechanically solid. Actuator cable is shielded and grounded at one end only. One end of the cable has a capacitor...

    Traxis 3500 0/22k Greyed-Out

I'm watching this thread with interest having a now-spare Traxis 3500 that I screwed up in the same way. I am using three other Traxii (Is that the plural of Traxis?) which have one other bug. Sometimes (DW on AMC-1 for example), the auto scan will find the channel but it won't load. The...

    Traxis 3500 0/22k Greyed-Out

Thank you. I have set it to Standard and 10750, as you suggest. In fiddling some more, I have learned the following: If the POSITIONER is set to DiSEqC1.2; the 22k switch is greyed-out and can't be reset. However, if I set the POSITIONER to NONE; the 22K can be reset to on or off. My choice...

    Traxis 3500 0/22k Greyed-Out

I'm converting an old Winegard dish to FTA and would greatly appreciate your advice on two sticking points. The antenna is an old 10' Pinnacle which I retrofitted a long time ago with an Ajak HH 180 positioner. I am using a DMS BSC-621 LNBF with 0/22K switching. This is my third Traxis...

Setup of a Geosat Pro C2

Okay... Got it. I should be good to go. I'll report back later on my experiences from Indiana with this feedhorn on I9 using a 6' dish. Thanks everyone.

Setup of a Geosat Pro C2

...each can tune either H or V... Is this by dc level on the respective coax? If so, then 15VDC for one polarity and 18VDC for the other? Thanks.

Setup of a Geosat Pro C2

Thanks. One output will tune vertical polarity; the other horizontal; yes? So I can simply connect two FTA receivers; one to each with both coaxes powered? Sounds like this lnbf splits the signals somehow into vertical and horizontal sides and has two separate RF amplifier; converter and IF...
