    Fox Sports 1 lands deals with DirecTV, Dish and Time Warner Cable

    Been watching a little of FS1 but I'm annoyed. They have the picture shrunk a little so there are black bars on the sides just so they can fit there crawl in at the bottom. I hate this trend, I have a 16:9 TV and I want the image to fill my screen (unless I'm waiting a widescreen movie).

    ESPN 3D shutting down

    Just when I am about to buy my first 3D HDTV, kind of sucks. I was looking forward to watching some college football in 3D this fall. Oh well, life goes on and I'll still have 3D blu-rays!

    DirecTV New HD channel additions and rumors

    Every episode that aired last night of Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens were in HD (which is all I care about since it is all I watch on TVLand). Lots of commercials were as well!

    When I go to the site, it doesn't look that different. A few things have been moved around, especially in "My Account" but, it looks nothing like what is in the preview link above. Never mind, I guess it has changed but, the main menu bar at the top of the page is still the old one for me...

    Had our first problem this morning, 2 of the clients wouldn't display live TV or recordings. We could see the menus but they wouldn't play anything. Hit the red reset button on the HR34 and now everything is working again. Is there something I could have tried before resetting the whole...

    Actually found one RF modulator and one old TV buried in a closet that had a single yellow/white (mono) video input. The installer actually had the composite cables, he didn't have any component which the 4th TV could have used but, oh well. Everything is up and running and working great so...

    That's not good at all. One of those TVs is my daughters and we can't go one night without it, if we can't have her TV up and running tomorrow then the install will have to be pushed back. These 2 TVs do not have RCA inputs, just a single coax (cable/ANT) input, they're old TVs.

    We are switching from Dish to D* tomorrow and having a Genie system installed. We only have 1 HDTV, the other 3 are SD and 2 of them are small 13" TVs that only have a single coax input. Will the installer have some RF modulators, even if I have to pay for them, or do I need to get these ahead...

    Thanks for the info. It is leased but I'm not under a contract right now. I have never payed the fee to turn on the USB for EHD use, will have to decide if we want to keep our recordings bad enough to pay that fee.

    Google Fiber Goes Live in Kansas City

    Everything sounds amazing about this until you look at the channel selection; no Time Warner, Fox, Disney/ABC, AMC, BBCA channels. No ESPN = no sale for me. I don't live in KC anyway and, if this ever goes nationwide, hopefully the channel selection will be better in the future.
