Trying to decide between Uverse and Direct --need help with recording limitations

Ok, misunderstood the original reply. If the Genie can handle 4 live feeds simultaneously while playing back to 2 recorded feeds, then this is all I will need. Thanks.

Trying to decide between Uverse and Direct --need help with recording limitations

The HR24 plus a HD receiver might be a little further out of my initial acquisition costs then I would want to go, but good idea none the less. Thanks. Got to admit, though. If it wasn't for Time Warner's lame excuse for equipment, they would get a little more consideration. (Key word is a...

Trying to decide between Uverse and Direct --need help with recording limitations

From what I hear, a recent software upgrade killed the 3HD/1SD stream on UVerse. Again don't know how much of it's true.

Trying to decide between Uverse and Direct --need help with recording limitations

Thanks for the feedback. I heard with UVerse that although they promote 4 feeds you can only record/watch 2 HD feeds at a time. Not sure how true this is. Looks like I will be going with Direct then. With my original scenario, I have 6 streams going on at the same time so just the Genie...

Trying to decide between Uverse and Direct --need help with recording limitations

Current Time Warner customer (complex didn't give me much of a choice when they bundled my cable with the rent, I used to be happy with Dish and their 722 DVR), so I plan on moving in the next couple months. Trying to decide between either DirectTV Genie Whole Home DVR (1 Genie with 2 mini...

Considering a return to Time Warner

I was a Dish customer for 13 years till I had to move last year to a complex that included Time Warner cable in my lease. I hated giving up my 722 and 211 receivers also for Time Warner's Cablevision DVR's. My DVR's are now filling to capacity like three times faster than my 722 and have had...

    Battle: Los Angeles

Movie should of actually been called "Battle:Santa Monica" because that's pretty much where the battle scenes are based.

    Call of Duty Black Ops

I picked it up for the PS3..finished the campaign mode and now started multiplayer. I thought the campaign mode was better than MW2 and so far I have been enjoying the new larger multiplayer maps and points system.

    The Social Network

Interesting that the lawsuits haven't been coming since this isn't technically an "authorized" portrayal of Mark Zuckerburg or the other founders. Must be some truth then to it.

Sunday's Chargers-Jags game will be blacked out in San Diego

The Padres are in the heat of a division race and their attendance is only averaging around 20,000 a game. San Diego fans really do suck!

    The Expendables

This is just an old school kick a** movie. No CGI, and no real script (lol), just a lot of explosions and good fight scenes. If you're a fan of shotguns, you'll love the one Terry Crews has in this movie.
