OTHER Changing Satellite List in GTMedia V9 Super Receiver

It doesn't look like GTMedia implemented the full SES SAT>IP specification into SAT2IP. Upnp with HTML, however, is working. Their Android viewing applications are not working with the V8 Golden receiver. They are supposed to be working with the V8X and V8UHD models. On a PC, bring up VLC...

OTHER Changing Satellite List in GTMedia V9 Super Receiver

I originally bought the GTMedia box to use as test equipment. It was cheap ($35) and it did blind scan. I originally used it to locate satellites and transponders to program into my AZBox. My $300 AZBox has 4:2:2 MPEG2 Chroma decoding (The reason I bought it), but no blind scan. The AZBox was...

    Actuator Recommendation Wanted

Correction: My 12' Paraclipse uses a 24" JGS Actuator. My 10' Prodelin uses an 24" Warner Weatherbeater Actuator. The reed switch magnet has disintegrated on the Weatherbeater actuator and there is about a quarter turn of play (backlash) on the lead screw shaft. The motor was frozen, but a...

    Actuator Recommendation Wanted

My 12' Paraclipse uses an 18" JGS Actuator. My 10' Prodelin uses an 18" Weatherbeater Actuator. I thought they were both ball screw, but perhaps not. (does anybody know)? 18" travel is sufficient to cover the entire arc from the east coast (75 deg to 135 deg). With 24" travel, there is too...

    Actuator Recommendation Wanted

After 30+ years of service, The motor on my JGS actuator finally quit. I'm looking for a replacement motor or a replacement actuator (probably 18" ball screw). Some of the windings on the motor armature are open and probably not repairable. I'm looking for some recommendations. The dish is a...

Weigel Broadcasting launching Start TV Network

The Start TV test feed went live today. The feed appeared today on my nightly blind scan. The feed is presently simulcasting Decades. Sadly, the feed is not HD. It's 16:9 480p SES 1 101.0W 3965V 2734 5/6 PID: 02f4 / 02f6 / 0001 I found another feed (presently unidentified but associated with...

    Luken Channels on SES2

I have a 12 ft Paraclipse and I'm shooting through trees. Peaking with digital transponders is a challenge. I need to find something at 76 degrees longitude to set elevation. Does anybody know if Simón Bolívar at 78.0°W is visible in North America?

    Luken Channels on SES2

The Luken Transponder appears to have a lower output than the others. I'm getting a strong signal on ZNS Network 3842H, but nothing on Luken 4140V. The signal strength is high, but the quality is zero.

    Luken Channels on SES2

Have the Luken channels on SES2 gone away? I was could receive them a few months ago, but they are no longer present. They are still listed on Lyngsat and other charts. I am wondering what happened.

    Recommendation for BUD Positioner

I'm looking for recommendations for a positioner to control a 12' Paraclipse Dish. I presently have 2 Macom T1 positioners and 1 DX Positioner. The main problem with these older positioners is satellite naming. They only support 2-character names using a limited number of characters to choose...
