    NBA Season 2014-2015

The GS Warriors are 12-2 at this point. One of the most fascinating teams to watch. Even if they're playing bad, they still win, it's almost uncanny. They are the team to watch this season.

    Lincoln

Saw it the other day on OD. After watching it, I realized that I was like a fly on the wall, privy to all the political scheming, conniving and wrangling being hatched and perpetrated at that moment in time in 1865 by the president of the US no less. I don't know how much artistic freedom...

    The Master

Except for the knowledge that this movie was nominated for an oscar, I watched this movie "cold". I thought you couldn't go wrong with Hoffman or Phoenix. I like them both. Didn't really read any reviews whatsoever. I'm not even sure if it won an oscar. Not being too familiar with...

    The Master

Watched it last night on OD. Very interesting plot and story line, but kind of on the north side of weird. Superb acting by Phoenix and Hoffman thou. I need to watch it again to grasp its true meaning. Just too deep for my intellect (or perhaps my lack of it).

    Skyfall

A tad melodramatic for my taste. Bardem was fabulous as a bad guy- as usual.

Excellent, excellent actress. May she rest in peace...

    Argo

Terrific movie. I also saw the documentary and I am just wondering why they excluded another CIA guy (Julio) from the movie.

    Building First Gaming PC

Far Cry 3 is graphically spectacular and the game play is not too shabby either. Maybe if you bring your AA setting down to maybe 4, you can squeeze a little bit more frames off your gpu with not much difference in eye-candy. But 35-40 fps consistently in ultra setting I think is pretty darn...

    Drive in theaters

The last drive-in theater here in the SF Bay Area peninsula was extinct since the very early 80s I believe. Lots of fond memories....

Congrats on your first build. For tracking frame rates, I use this: http://www.fraps.com/. It's a good, simple to use program.

    2013 NFL Playoffs/Super Bowl

Congrats to all Ravens fans. The upside for SF is that they turned a potential laugher to a very close game. They almost dodge a bullet there, but as the expression goes "time waits for no man". And time, eventually, turned out to be their greatest enemy, besides themselves. Overall...

    2013 NFL Playoffs/Super Bowl

I think Kap is one INT away from being kicked out of the game. It's certainly a tough, tough situation for Jim H.
