The reason for the jump is because Dish does not reuse version numbers across receivers. 2.90 to 3.30 have been used by other receivers.

Before you go climbing into the attic, check your local HD OTA forum at avsforum.com and make sure something others are not having issues. LIke the other posters it does sound like something happen external to the box so I personally would start by checking the net before checking the cabling.

Here is what I had to do. 1) Did a factory reset.. 2) Hard Reboot. (Pulled the plug) 3) OTAs where gone now, Favorite lists were gone, however, the HD list that disappeared reappeared after a reset to factory defaults. 4) Did another factory default reset and the box was back to normally...

This is an 811 289 thread correct? Boy what a rathole happening. As to your issue with 289, are you seeing any other HD broadcasts with same behavior?

Darrell Try the PgDn and PgUp. One of them changed zoom modes for SD and one for HD. Cant remember which one. PRess info and you will see the modes that HD and SD content are on. I believe this feature is new to you since you were back on 282.

Did you try switching the feeds at the switch side and seeing if the problem the problem moved over to the 510? That would be the first thing I would try.

Gary, 2.89 is not an update to fix issues on the head end. 2.89 has software fixes in it that are addressing customer issues. Yes the 811 is being replaced by the 411, yes the 921/942 will be replaced with MPEG4 versions, but Dish has actually had a good track record on continuing fix...

It rolls out in phases. It can take up to two weeks for full rollout.

This is a phased released. everyone will not get it on at first. You might not be in the first group oldtimer and you might have to wait. Full roll out can take up to 2 weeks if all goes well.
