I can't even begin to count the number of service calls I do that the fittings or cables need to be changed. I recabled a 4 receiver house today - it had a huge crawl space (I could stand up under the house) and the existing cabling was wrapped around the house with RG-59.... The only thing I...
Without testing it myself, the SWM splitter (1x4) may be bad. Just a guess, but if it is, it will likely start failing on the other receiver's soon as well.
That will work fine - but, you got the SWM LNB to avoid the 2nd line..........You need nothing else except a 2nd BBC. Remember to remove the BBC's when you fire up the SWM LNB.
2 way SWM splitter will run 2 HD/DVR's (4 tuners). No more than 8 tuners to a SWM LNB. If you have a 2 way downline, must have 8 way closest to dish. Will work with 4 way splitters...for awhile.
all evens on 103ca are 0
not bbc problem - ca does not require bbc to come in. 99 and 103 cb require bbc. only evens are 0- center conductor corrosion. Plus I can change tilt about 6 degrees and not lose 119, not so for 99/103.
Also check your signal levels. If your odd transponders all show 0's, I would guess that the cable running to it needs to be replaced.....if your even transponders all show 0's, I would check to see which fitting has the corroded center conductor..
Cool. HAven't tried it yet - wife is watching something on the DVR. OP - can you check your 'manage recordings' in the menu and see if there's anything else going on?
just saw your reply - - probably a repeat or already recoded then...
