Hey folks... for you guys who have been kicking the tires of the new Interface I have been contacted by DISH about an upcoming hardware test and they will be looking for 50 SatelliteGuys members to help them test it.

Now I can't say what it is at the moment, but since you guys took a gamble and tried the new Carbon UI (and provided some really good feedback) I wanted to give you a heads up that in the next day or so I will be making a post about seeking beta testers to help out....

I want you guys first, so here is your warning to keep checking SatelliteGuys often for when you can sign up...

If it is what he posted on the homepage, then it is a remote for the Hopper 3. Guess I am out of luck with my HWS.

Yep, I would say you are out of luck and me too. I sure was hoping DISH was going to test the DPH42 switch!

Considering that switches are not normally installed by customers, I don't see Dish doing a customer-based test with a switch.

I believe "it" is the Hopper 3 voice remote being discussed in another thread at this very moment. Better hurry over to the other thread and sign up, if interested.

Yup originally when I was contacted it was for the Hopper 2 / 3. But what they sent me to announce was for the Hopper 3.

Hopefully they give me one for the Hopper 2 as well in the future.

I guess us Hopper2 guys got all excited over nothing for now. Oh well. I'm not ready to move to a Hopper3 just to get a new remote to test.

I'll be here if it happens for the H2s with CarbonUI, but not holding my breath any longer..........................shucks!
