That's because i have been treated better with DISH than DIRECT. Wich is still a disaster!!! Along with the constant price hikes and no innovation and more than likely none in the future... as far as streaming services PQ there hit or miss the op will need to do some free trial runs!!!

I think the signal levels are the same as the triple LNB i could be wrong.. I also heard people that have hoppers and the triple LNB that when doing the check switch it screws with the hoppers since it can't find the 129. if they didn't send a firmware update out yet they will be doing so..

The alignment is occurring because the antenna was pointed at Galaxy 33 at 133 W instead of SES 1 at 101 W. Attempting to connect to SES 1, Transponder 16, 4020H. The LNBs currently used are NORSAT 3020s For alignment, I use the XR3 directly to the LNB, which powers the LNB.

The picture quality is not as bad as it was on DISH in the early 2000s when everyone was getting HD televisions and Dish was pushing only SD content. I remember the ghosting and all the digital artifacts when Dish was really crunched for capacity running 119/110 under MPEG2. The problem today...

Thanks for the input. I currently have a temporary 10 foot fixed dish with the metal pipe but with the dish and mount covering the pole, I can’t measure the thickness of the wall. I’m guessing it is “80”.

A 40 will work, but an 80 should really be used. Though IF it's a mesh dish as you said, a 40 should be fine as long as it isn't more than 6' above ground. Should be at least 4' deep also.

It would be nice to know which sat. you're trying to snag a signal from. And transponder. Az/el. So it will be stationary aimed at one sat? Realigning a dish that hasn't moved? What knocked it out of whack? LNB's? Orthomode transducer feed? Have they been moved at all? How are they powered...

As long as we're on the subject of poles, I acquired an Ajax H-H mount I have to clean up but it needs a 3 1/2" O.D. pole. Do I need schedule 80 or will a schedule 40 work? edit: Oh, it's for a 10 foot mesh dish in case you didn't guess.
