I guess I was right to defend myself if you do not wish to say what the assumptions were. I may be a Dead head, but not a drugged out hippie Dead head...just a middle aged dude that likes a heaping...
How pathetic to assume that just because I like a certain type of music I must not like sports. Kind of painting pictures with a broad brush don't you think? Not only am I a fan of the Grateful Dead, but I am also a season ticket holder for an NHL team and an MLB team. Huh. Who would have...
Correct...I do get AND PAY FOR the RSN's for my area and am quite happy with what I get in HD OR SD. I do not pay for full time HD RSN's...I pay for what they had when I signed up. My point is, that if it is going to cost DISH more to carry all of the programming from those RSN's in HD all of...
Very few people give a crap about sports in HD except the sports in the area they live in. I personally don't give a whit one way or the other. BUT...if it is going to cost ME more money every month for YOU to watch a game that I could care less about than I say, screw you and your HD sports...
Have you tried the format button on the remote? I believe that it is the * button on the bottom left. The zoom features are not in the menu, you need to hit the * button. Just sayin...
They get replaced with an equivilant ViP receiver. It would be cheaper than buying/paying fees to Tivo. Echostar (the equipment side) may take a loss, but in the end will profit. Just something to think about...
...DVR. There would be no increase due to the recent receiver fee changes and all customers win. DISH wins in the end. They keep existing customers for a longer period and maybe even steal more from cable and D*. Charlie tells Tivo where to step off and Tivo eventually dies. It could...
I have spent years in customer service and this is one of the situations that increase prices for everyone. If you make an exception for one person to let them out of a contract, you have to make the same exception for another. Open the floodgates and run. If these folks had read what they...
No way to get 6 receivers hooked up with only one DPP44 switch. Even though there are still 2 unused ports on the quad, once you run the check switch and recognize the DPP44, the internal switch in the quad will de-activate.
Out of curiosity have you tried to hook your camera or a flash drive into the receiver? I know when I hook up my pocket dish I am given options that are not on the menu when it's not hooked up. There may be an option to manage files.
You should be able to order PPV at least with the internet connection. I am not positive about the account management. Have you gone into the menu system and completed the broadband setup? Follow Menu options 6 - 1 - 8. That should get you to broadband setup. Hope this helps.
