SES 1 satellite is scheduled to be launched April 24th 2010 on Proton rocket. It will also replace AMC 2 besides AMC 4.

VOOM should combine their 15 channels into 4 or 5, before D* should even consider adding it. Voom simply does not have enough programming for 15 channels.
I have seen this happen for a long time. It's been doing this for years. It has to be the MPEG2 encoder D* is using for ESPN, as I have never seen it on E*. I can't believe they still have not fixed it.

There is room for 75 national HD channels on D11, just like D10. Both Satellites are exactly the same! Claiming that D11 will be mostly for locals on spotbeams is false.
It is not how many satellites you have, but how many licenses for transponders. They can put 5 satellites at 110 position but can only use 10 transponders. D* has alot more licenses than E*, especially in KA band.
Stop complainig on D* forum about E*. E*is to blame for no HD on NESN or locals. Switch to D* and you will get NESN HD 24 hrs a day and local HD channels except ABC ch 8 and ch 59. These are not in HD yet as they are owned by LIN and that is where the fault lies.
Dr. Who is not done in HD. It is only widescreen SD, so you will not see in HD ever. Torchwood Dr. Who spin off is in HD however. You can see it on HDNET.
