Ever since we got the new converter & dish watching local channels that are only available in hd has been problematic there are a few of the HBO's that are HD only & seem to work equally sporadically we're waiting for the 3rd service call in 2 months

How do I switch between the 2 [built in] converters? I seem to be stuck sometimes if there is a recording in process I don't seem to get a choice besides stopping the recording & going to live mode

We upgraded so we could have a better dvr than the 522 the turbo 500 dish was replaced with a 1000.2 [probably] the signal strength is terrible I lose one of the satellites frequently [no local channels] we had a service call, but no real improvement any suggestions?
