    Another Spectrum Auction?

It looks like they're going to explore cutting up more of the C-band spectrum to give away to 5G carriers. The same person at the FCC mentioned 5 years ago that he'd like to cut up more of the UHF band to give out to 5G...

    Maximum Effort Channel Shut Down

Exclusive: Fubo, Ryan Reynolds shut down Maximum Effort Channel I just saw this news after no longer seeing the Maximum Effort in my guide. It sucks because they were the only source for reruns of MadTV. Speaking of which, if anyone knows a FAST channel that shows In Living Color, feel free to...

    The Grio Gone

Did Allen Media pull the plug on the Grio? As of this morning, the Grio is showing up as unavailable on Allen Media's WAAY out of Huntsville. I know they had layoffs back in August. Another forum mentioned that Sinclair stations made an agreement to switch from the Grio to TBD this month.

    Tablo Issues

Has anyone been having long wait times on their Tablo unit? I've got mine connected via Ethernet and with plenty of signal from a pair of rabbit ears according to the signal meter on scanning in the channels, but sometimes it seems like I can wait upwards of a minute or so before it will pull up...

    New Construction Attic Antenna Concerns

I'm currently in the process of building a new home at the moment. When the sheetrock hadn't been put up, I had the electrical guy run RG-6 to the attic space at the far end of the garage. Now, the area in the attic where the coax runs were placed has a big air handler in the way. The house is...

Cable Company Leaving TV Business (Nice Dish)

After serving my local community for 21 years, my local utility company is getting out of the cable TV business. I know I couldn't afford it or have the space for it, but I'm guessing the giant Simulsat dish on their roof along with their digital and analog equipment will likely be sold or...

CW 15 (RF 2) Simulcast on 19.2 (RF 19) in Huntsville AL DMA

I'm not sure if there are any people living in the Huntsville, AL DMA viewing this forum, but as of yesterday, CW is now being simulcasted on 19.2. There have been lots of complaints of people not receiving CW 15 (WHDF) since they moved to RF 2 last Spring. I'm guessing Nexstar got the hint when...

    Post Repack TVs and Tuners

Does anyone know if TV manufacturers have started to scale down their tuners to just scan channels 2 through 36? I bought a TV a few years back that still had a 2-69 tuner in it, despite it being years after the first repack. It would be nice if they would put in the effort to not include dead...

    Thoughts on Tablo

I've been running a Philips 3575H DVR/DVD Recorder since 2007. It's been a good unit and still functions fine, but I'd like to upgrade to something that records in HD and can be streamed to any device. I've used those $30 DVR boxes, and they seem to glitch up during a recording. Is there anyone...

VHF Lo Reception on VHF-Hi/UHF Designed Antennas

The headline says it all. Basically I'm seeing if anyone has ever gotten decent reception for VHF-Lo signals on an antenna designed for VHF-Hi/UHF. I know they aren't designed for frequencies that low, but I'd read somewhere that if you are within close range to the signal, then there's a chance...
