I have been with Dish for 10 yrs. and have always paid annual. I have as 622 which I rent and pay the HD 10.00 on monthly basis.I told the CSR that I was hoping to use the 10.00 I would save to add Plat. but he did not say I could not add it on. Dish seems to be inconsistent on a lot of things...

I was told I could convert to monthly and I would have credit untill my balance was used up.

Yea my monthly dvr and HD fees are paid monthly just my base package is annual. I was not offered to pay the $99.00. Just told I did not qualify. After you pay the $99 will your monthly drop $10.00 for life?

I was told that I could sign up for monthly but because I pay annual my mo payment is cheaper. My mo. payment will go up but discount the 10.00 for hd I would net 3.34

I logged on my dish acct to sign up for the free hd for life and had a notice that I did not have a base package or any hd. I have the top 250+ HD but not Plat. I called Dish to ask why I did not qualify and as told it was because I pay annually. Anyone else have this to happen?

thanks for the reply. I live in the 3% of the country that cannot get locals. WE have one HD ABC and One SD CBS which has no plans of going HD and I get very poor reception on antenna. They also will not grant me a waiver. It's sad you even have to consider moving just to enjoy HD programming...

What do people who have "moved" do when they have problems and need new receivers or want to upgrade equipment? Not having any problems yet but curious just in case.

I "moved" to Birmingham Al about six months ago to get some network HD channels but the HD's are gone but I still get the SD's. I was getting them on 119 trans 9 spot 12. Anyone know what happened?

I get a signal of 77 on 119 and 110 but on 129 trans 8 I get a 4. Not sure whats on 8 but on other trans I get between 55 and 60. Smart card is firmly in behind door. But I did find some loose connections outside. Afte I came in from tighting the outside connections my wife was watching tv at...

Thanks for the reply. I checked and I get a 66 on Transponder 9 of 119. Would this be good enough if I made a move to Birmingham for their HD locals?
