Not true...when my last 722 fried and they shipped me a new one I let the box do its download and activation I swapped out HDD from the fried box to the new box and everything has worked just fine.

not sure but what you could do is just buy a bigger internal hard drive and swap it out if you know anything about computers. The HDD inside the box is exactly like an internal SATA HDD...pop a bigger one in...keep the old one around in case the box goes back so you can swap it back before...

You ought to try mounting the LNB in an offset position...your losing about 50% of your strength from having it center mounted and the pole its attached to doesnt help much either.
