Another way to find SR (and all kinds of other info) is to buy a copy of Tele-Satellite magazine. It will give you a registration code for a nice program called "World of Satellites". I find it much easier to lookup info than Lyngsat's web site. See attached picture.

Usually sat abbreviations are pretty straight forward. The problem with Telstar satellites comes from the fact that Intelsat bought the Telstar satellites from the bankrupt Loral and thus had them renamed to Intelsat Americas.

I had the same problem at first. Just try to rotate the antenna with very small increments. Just a gentle move from my current position leads to lost signal. Also after each move it might take 4-5 seconds for the receiver to pick up the signal. Good luck

Iceberg, If I understand you right, if I have my primary receiver tuned to a transponder with let's say vertical polarization would that mean that I won't be able to watch any programs that are on a signal with horizontal polarization on the receiver/dvb card hooked to the loop connector?
