    they prefer to recycle theyr units rather than just scrap them once theyve malfunctioned.... the only real difference between the two is the r15 has more pretty lights,but needs more head clearence as its taller

    over heating due to a blocked cooling fan, or malfunctioning one will make it reset..... a problem with the hard drive will also do it.... in addition to everything else

    i prefer the rf, although it eats "aa" batteries... depending on where you get your recievers from they may or may not come with rf remotes, currently only our hd-dvrs come with them
