I got a call this evening from DirecTV saying that since I was a valued customer I was getting HBO and CINAMAX free for a year as well as $15 off the bill, also for a year. I said, “OK”. Anyone else or am I special. Haha.

I have had 0X1001 since 1/12. When I go to guide or menu the window opens but it takes a full 10 seconds for it to populate with any information. If I exit and go right back it is not as bad. If I wait 5 minutes, it’s back to the 10 seconds. I have reset several times but it does not help. Any...

I know, there is room at both sides of the guide. The channel number and logo don’t need that much room.

If you are talking about CC text, you can change the background color and font color and size. I find black with yellow text works very well for me.

One other thing I have noticed is that the Closed Captioning misses words and even whole sentences at times. Being old and hard of hearing, NOT DEAF, I depend on CC for words I miss or don’t understand. Might not even be the new software but it didn’t do that before.
