Problem now resolved Accepted the 3.35 software as had little to lose. Rainbow problem now resolved so must have been a glitch in the 3.34 version (at least for my setup). Unfortunately, still have the washed out component video. Thanks again to those who offered assistance. Matt

FWIW problem not present on channels broadcast in 720p. Also not present when I set TV to convert all output to 720p. Still rainbow line with 1080i on all other output from 811 receiver. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

With changes to MPEG4, the 811 that I own is destined to become a doorstop. It's just a matter of next month, in 6 months, or in a year or so. It seems to me that there should be a way (NOT using the dish) that this receiver could still serve as a decent off air HD receiver. If it's a hacking...

Problems since 2.82 Unlike many, I had NO problems with the 811 until the 2.82 update. Now lock up almost continuously when scrolling through OTA. Thought I'd join the fray:-)
