20 year happy Dish subscriber and new Seattle Kraken season ticket holder. With Root Sports (Mariners & Kraken) going away i had no choice but to drop Dish and my rock solid 722K’s for Comcast…Ugh…
I'm in the infrastructure business and depending on the site and application, wifi A/C is a quantum leap over N in many aspects. Main problem here I believe, is the core dish coding on the older VIP platform, limited dish programming resources due to hopper & new tech.
Unfortunately, I have been using the slow Dish compatible Wifi N Netgear dongle for years. No way for me to add an ethernet cable. Anyone have sucess with an alternaive A/C dongle?
So... with the AMC hardball negotiations done, is the same thing going to happen with Pac 12? We are less than 60 days away from the first Pac 12 football game and have not heard much anywhere on this subject other than *D*"s CEO posturing. I just don't see either sat provider agreeing to 7...
I went into dish chat last friday and got 3 months of starz free after some negotiation without any new commit, have to cancel after 3 months to prevent additional charges.
Call the loyalty dept and be polite say you are considering another provider, I am not on contract and just received a $10 /mo credit on my bill for 2 years without any new commitment...
Have a 211 that has lost ability to to tune UHF, have swapped antennas, power cord reboot , smart card reboot, deleted channels, check switch, etc. Any other ideas short of swapping it/sending it back for a replacement?
Just paired my sling box av and I get the yellow view icon on my iPad, then when I hit view it says sling box not supported, I assume this means my sling av is now a boat anchor?
It's not hardware, definitely software, if I go into any of the new menu options other than the dvr or hdd it locks, I'll just be leaving these alone for now.
Whatever you want to call it or not call it...I call it crap....just did a power cord reboot and got broadband... Now it has done 3 reboots on it's own in the last 30 minutes. Let me get this straight, I am now paying $17 a month for this "superior" DVR's software upgrade...right!
Same here, just got the upgrade and the 722k locked up and did a reboot, first time in over 6 months since upgrading from a 722, now it won"t connect to broadband. How wonderful to induce bugs in a rock steady DVR...
The new equipment fee increase forced me to sell 2-722's and 2-622's and replace them with a 722k and 3-211's, big hassle but will keep my fees down until the next nickel and dime scheme they concoct. Dropped AEP and moved to 200 package. Next time they pull crap like that... I"m gone.
Funny you bring this up...I have received 4 of 6 of my $6.00 loyalty credits, but only received 1 of my 6 $10 receiver credits. Submitted a biliing credit request through chat over a month ago for the missing ones and have not seen anything yet (and probably don't expect to), I'm sure I will...
Just this week I purchased a new 722K with OTA module on Craigs List for only $200. E* wanted $200 plus $30 for the module and a 24 month commit...no brainer to own on this example...plus they sent me a box for my leased 622 and no $15 charge for the return.
I watch the Mariners on FSN NW 426 and have been lucky so far this season with only a few "JIPs" until last night when there was only SD offered. I was on chat for a billing issue and brought up the lack of HD on this game and that I was paying $10/mo for HD and not getting it. After the typical...
Probably due to our good weather this summer I have experienced very few dropouts on 129 than I have in the past. My dish 1000 has been up since it was first offered and I've only had to repeak it once. I'm anxiously awaiting the new bird myself, but haven't been impacted enough to put up...
Just got off the phone after 40 minutes of negotiation for my 2 -721's. They initially offered 2 leased 522's with DVR fees waived (they said the 522's would be grandfathered even if I was not on AEP). I kept pushing for owned recevers, but they wouldn't budge. So I took a different approach...
I am aware the prescribed replacement unit is a 522 for a 721, however I already have 2-622's that I own as well as my 2-721's, so I am hoping for a clean sweep of all 622's eventually. The least they could do is mitigate the possible loss of 721 DVR grandfather status with a better MPEG4 unit...
