Thanks - I was afraid of that. Hope it doesn't turn into too big of a hassle.

    HD TiVo Problems?

It seems like every couple of weeks, all my channels come through on my HD-TiVo as unavailable and I need to restart the unit. Is this commone, or is there a problem with my box?

Stop pullin' the newbies chain!! Seriously, do I need to worry about my HD TiVo? What exactly is the deal?

Newbie: I have TiVo - what's the best DirectTV Option?

I just made the same switch (except I had a series 1, and no HMO), and I've gotta say the dulal tuner ROCKS. It's well worth the $50. Plus I sold my old TiVo (with extra hard drive and lifetime subscripton) on ebay for close to $300.

    Directv Tivo

Please tell me this doesn't mean the HD TiVo I just plunked down major dollars for won't be unusable in 3 years!!

    HELP!! HD TiVo lost HD??

WHEW! Thr guded setup's got it. THANKS! I was hesitant to run guided setup because I remember it taking forEVER on my old SA. It doesn't take nearly as long here. Besides, when I checked signal strength, it had right digital channel mapped to the DTV chanell (which is that I thought a...

    HELP!! HD TiVo lost HD??

I've had the HD TiVo for about a month now, and all of a sudden today it betrayed me. I'm trying to watch the playoff game, but when I go to the HD channel (or any of my HD OTA channels) it tells me "channel not available". When I hook the antenna up to the TV's HD receiver, it works fine, and...

    Hr10-250 queston

I'm using component - the TV doesn't have DVI. I probably won't be able to track down the model number until I get home, but I want to say it's a WS55511? Or maybe WS55512 - I think one may have the tuner and the other not. I've been doing that, and that works fine. I just want to make...

    Hr10-250 queston

Sorry, yeah - 720p (oops). The TV does have an integrated tuner, and that's what I've been using get get my HD content until last week. I had no problem getting Fox or ABC.

    Hr10-250 queston

It's a 55" Mitsubishi rear projection set (cant remember the exact model number off hand). It's about a year old. Doesn't one of the networks broadcast in 720i? I've been able to pick up ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and UPN with my OTA setup.

    Hr10-250 queston

I was working on getting my new HR10-250 set up this weekend and noticed that whenever I set the TiVo to output in 720i all I got was a blue screen. Does this indicate some problem with the TiVo, or does that mode only work when the original signal is in 720i?

    HD10-250 SD picture

I was thinking that the TV wouldn't have an option for stretching the picture since it would be using an HD input. I guess that's just because my HD Antenna input doesn't have that option - maybe whatever input the TiVo would use would allow that. Is it a pretty easy switch to go from 480i...

    HD10-250 SD picture

I'm just curious about how the SD signal looks through the HD10-250. My TV does a pretty good job with the stretching, and I'd hate to spend $900 on a unit that makes the SD content (80% of what we watch) look bad.

    Tuners on HD10-250

Okay - that's kind of what I guessed. I don't have an outdoor antenna, though, so that wouldn't be applicable to me.

    Tuners on HD10-250

I heard that whistle as it flew by over my head.... I think I got the main answer I wanted though - I'll just need one OTA antenna (I'm using a set-top rabbit-ears type antenna) plus whatever for the D* I'll have D* when I get the TiVo, but I may not get the TiVo at the same time (I may...

    Tuners on HD10-250

So will it be a splitter coming out of the dish, or what? I'm still debating whether to buy, and if I do I may go do D* first and get the TiVo later. I'm assuming it's no harder to install than a stand alone TiVo. Is that right? I'm also assuming that won't cost the $5 for the extra "room".

    Tuners on HD10-250

I've got a really stupid question. I know the HD10-250 has 2 OTA tuners. Would I need 2 antennas to utilize them, or do both pull from the same source?

    Switching to Direct TV

I agree wholehartedly. I'm only looking ahead 3 weeks, though :) . I'm just paranoid that after Christmas they'll say "All the gift buying is done, and anyone who would have paid $1,000 has done so. Let's cut the price!" I know - I'm being paranoid but I'm CHEAP! Besides, I'm not sure...

    Switching to Direct TV

That's deffinately a consideration, and if I DO buy I'm leaning towards going that route. I'm thinking the 5-year waranty may well be worth the extra $50 ($849 is the best deal I've found elsewhere). That won't make me any happier if the price drops to $600 in the middle of January! :) I...

    Switching to Direct TV

Okay - I figured out D*, and would have gotten V* if I'd seen it. I THOUGHT E* might be Dish, but I couldnt' figure out where the 'E' came from - thought maybe there was another provider out there I hadn't looked at. E* doesn't have a HD-DRV, do they? Any other opinions on whether the...
