Right now I have a Slimline-3 Dish with a non-SWM LNB. I am thinking about possibly getting an HR34 and/or adding another reciever, so I want to know what I will need to convert my legacy setup to a SWM setup. Would someone mind detailing the equipment that I'd need to buy in order to do this...

I have noticed commercial insertion issues as well.

Oddly enough, the only issues like this I've noticed are with TBS recordings. Audio skips only for stuff recorded from TBS (on my HR24)

Yep... I have 95% or higher on all sats and TPs. Everything is firmly tightened and I have the monopoles installed for support... Thanks guys! Neighbor of mine has DTV and rain fade has not been a huge issue down here and even with the occasional drops it's by far the best choice for TV...

So, uh, I don't know what happened, but after leaving the box unplugged for a while, it's started working again. Strange.

FWIW I have had DirecTV in South Florida for over 5 years and experienced VERY few rain fade issues.

Nitpicking here but technically Blu-Ray is still compressed. It's certainly at a much higher bitrate than D*, but it's still compressed.

I always remember having the artist/song/album info when listening to the music channels, but I just noticed that it is no longer available. Is this normal? Not getting it on any of the Sonic Tap channels. Receiver is an H20-100.

NY Locals as I understand it are not spot beamed but broadcast nationally (the 4 major networks, at least) for people eligible for distant networks so that won't be a problem :)

I'd go with an SWM setup but I'm trying to keep the cost down as much as possible... I can get a slimline dish with 3 LNBs for $65 shipped. Trying to keep away any extra costs.
