    Split a signal from a single RG6

So I can't split the signal because of the type of LNB I'm using. Correct? SAMSUNG SIR-S4080R is the DVR I'll be using. Someone told me I should setup the dish as an 18" and connect to 101W only for SD channels so do I use the same 2 outputs that were previously used? And should/can I...

    Split a signal from a single RG6

I've got an old HD dish with the funny shape and 3 LNBs. The previous owner had some trouble with HD channels but SD was just fine. I'm only interested in SD. I took out the LNBs to look at the outputs and there are 4 of them as shown in the pictures below. The big one in the center say...

Found an FW9 Dish. Will it work?

Thanks for all the help. I'm going to give it a try. It is free after all. So if 101W is for the SD channels what are 110 and 119 for? Could I point to any of them just the same?

Found an FW9 Dish. Will it work?

I'm in the process of setting up a second satellite and found one someone was going to throw away. The model number is FW9 they say and I have a picture. They said they were having trouble picking up some HD channels so Dtv replaced it. I'll have the choice package and just SD receivers. Am I...

I'm just going for standard definition stuff. I read on another post that if you have directv installed at your home you can get an extra dish and hook it up at another location and set your second receiver up there as well. If I wanted to do something like that would I need to tell the...

Sony SAS-BD3 Compatible with New Directv System?

Thanks so much. I almost went and bought. I'm looking at another one with two LNBs and it's oval in shape. Was I right about the oval one receiving more satellite feeds then the round ones?

Sony SAS-BD3 Compatible with New Directv System?

I think I've figured out everything is ok except that it's a round dish and if I get an oval one I can get feed from multiple satellites. Cool forum

Sony SAS-BD3 Compatible with New Directv System?

I'm looking to buy a used satellite dish to hook up at my place. I just want to be sure that the dish will work with a directv account. The dish model is Sony SAS-BD3. I guess it being a Sony dish through me off cause I usually see plenty of RCA models. Thanks in advance.

Connect my Hughesnet and Dish Network on a shared cable

So if I understand correctly the main reason is that hughesnet's modem is sending power to the LNB and that would interfere with any other signal? About them trying to use the same frequencies. Does that mean there is a certain distance that there should be between two or more satellites?

Connect my Hughesnet and Dish Network on a shared cable

Hi. I have Hughesnet Satellite Internet setup about 100 ft from my house (had to clear trees) and I want to setup a dish network satellite but don't want to go through the hassle and extra $ to install the cabling if there is any way to avoid it. Is there a way that if my dish network dish was...
