    DIRT

Thanks. I got all the info I needed to support my hopper/ joey install, I just wish they would just ship me the stuff and let me do it. The one thing that stands in the way is I wanted to keep my (owned) 722 to use in my RV so I can use the dual tuners to run 2 TV's,but they will not let me...

need help aiming dish (not normal)

I use a Dish 500 in my RV. I am trying to aim it at 61/72. I know it will work because I have done it in the past, but this time I just can't get it to work. I have the skew correct, because it worked all spring until I took the old RV home to trade it in, now I have the new RV on site and I...

    OTR, RV and Dishnetwork Receiver

this rig has a input patch panel with main, and sat 1, 2 and 3. main connects into the bedroom, where it is connected to the switch for OTR antenna. OTR antenna output connects to a splitter that feeds a jack in basement, bedroom, and entertainment center (which is in a slide-out). Sat 1, 2 and...

    OTR, RV and Dishnetwork Receiver

back to the drawing board. Too much loss in the Camper Coax. Far end TV's don't have a very good picture. I added an amp I got laying around but that starts to mess with the digital signal that's on the same wire.

    OTR, RV and Dishnetwork Receiver

thanks. I hooked it up to try it, currenntly scanning locals and have found 6 so far. My receiver only has output on channel 3 or 4, so I will try that next. Opinion needed: The splitter I need is 1 into 3. Would you run the OTR signal into the input of the splitter (it is the probably a...

    OTR, RV and Dishnetwork Receiver

I have a HD receiver I use in my RV (I have been using Dish in the RV since the 90's). First I use the (single) receiver to feed the main TV with HDMI, then the remote TV's (low def) using the receiver coax output. My last RV had the roof antenna output jack right next to the receiver location...

    622 - HDMI problem?

Your probably right. I just went down and gently wiggled the HDMI cable in the receiver and it came back on. See the TV is wall mounted in my bedroom. the 10' HDMI cable goes straight down through the floor to the receiver which sits on a shelf up high on the basement wall. I had to do this...

    622 - HDMI problem?

I have a 622 with an HDMI cable going to my Samsung TV. This setup has been working for 2 years now. I noticed the Receiver was replaced 2/2011 for something (can't recall what, but I do recall it took 2 receivers before Dish got me a good one). Last week the HDMI output stopped working. If...

Statement from DISH on CSN Philly

I know I am late posting to this, but being in Phila area, I have been bitching about this for 15 years. I hear Comcast gave Fios access to CSN to prevent a court case where Verizon was going to fight Comcast over providing local Telephone service. I have also heard because of the old prism...

    612 remote question

What is the part number of this remote that should have come with my 612 (that is either UHF or IR)?

    612 remote question

I noticed the remote that came with my 612 already had a sticker on the back that said living room. Dam contractor gave me a used remote (and probably a used receiver). So I call Dishnetwork. Dishnetwork really needs to do something about their support. First CSR said the 612 is IR only (even...

    612 remote question

Its just sitting on a table top with nothing on top of it so it is getting full ventilation. I think what is happening is she is recording stuff when she would normally be going to sleep and she hears hard drive noise. I know once she is asleep not even the update would wake her up. I need to...

    612 remote question

can a 612 use a UHF remote? CSR tells me it already is a UHF remote but status screen shows it is an IR (plus it don't work if you cover the IR transmitter). I called to ask if there is anything we can do about the noise this thing makes at night (it's not the upgrade, that is set to 10:00am)...

Eastern Arc Phila PA and Locals

Today they installed my 1000.4 dish and added a 612 receiver. The 612 is for my Daughter, hooked up to a SD TV (shhhh, Christmas is coming). The tech who installed the new dish wanted to remove my DP44, I told him NO, I want to use it so I can run a temp cable out to my RV when company comes...

    simple 508 question

Thanks everyone. I found a drawing of the wiring diagram for the 1000.4 I see it has 1 ouput for up to 3 receivers, but I also see it can be attached to a DPP44 by 3 cables. This is my best bet because the DPP44 is already there and all 3 receivers are wired to it. I guess I will just shut...

    simple 508 question

Problem is there is only ONE RG6 fished through the walls from each receiver to the DPP44 location. Then there is only 1 RG6 from the DPP44 to the location where the 1000.4 will be going (currently a 61.5). The dish is around 50' from the switch. What is the model number of the switch I would...

In need of advise / help with Dish 500 locating both satellites Long post

I am not 100% sure on which equipment works with which receivers, but it sounds like you might have the older LNB that needs 2 cables (one from each LNB) to a switch, then one cable into the RV. Are you installing the switch? I switched my RV dish 500 to a DPP LNB ( I use a 622 receiver in my...

    simple 508 question

follow up question I have 61.5, 110 and 119 feeding a DPP44, which has 3 single home runs into each receiver area. Each 722 has a switch on the back that connects this single run into both SAT ports. The installer will be replacing my 61.5 with a 1000.4, but I will make him leave my 110/119...

    simple 508 question

My Daughter has 508 with lots of stuff recorded on it. I have a new 612 coming for her next week. Can she still watch the recordings on the 705 if I unplug the dish from it? if yes, will it still let her watch her recordings if we 1st unplug the receiver from dish, install new 612, then remove...

Upgrade Dish Requirements Question (existing system)

so after all the crap different CSR's told me, the last guy I talked to said "because this is a complete home upgrade, you are not subject to the 24 month commitment". They will be out next week to install my new dish and a new 612 receiver. Now if we could just get them to ship the equipment...
