I am 50-70 miles from the nearest ota antenna what is a good antenna to install?

just remember that antennaweb is VERY conservative - I live around 50-55 miles away and have had great success with a CM 4228, a CM 7777 preamp, and the CM9521 rotor. If the signals you want are from channels 10 - 60, you cannot beat the 4228.

What satellite has the HD channels on it?

other than the CBS feed - if you qualify. It then depends on if you are east or west coast. East coast feed comes in at 61.5 and the west, I think, comes in at 148...

i got a gripe about the rate increase!!!

not to change the subject but bob - what are we going to do when the mets move to their own network in 2006 - I did not mind losing YES when I switched from D* cause I could care less about watching the yanks, but if E* does not pick up the mets new station, I might have to switch to one that...

    More HD Channels?

datwell: where you are you should simply put up a high quality UHF antenna, rotor and preamp and you should get wash, arlington, fairfax, baltimore, annapolis, manassas, and goldveina stations in digital... a pre amp may not even be necesarry if you are not interested in baltimore...

    Superdish obsolete?

seemed far fetched to me as well but they said they need to as per some fcc mandate or something like that...

    Superdish obsolete?

Don't know how much is true, but I had a Dish rep tell me that they were working on a dish to replace the 2 dish set that they need to go to for some...

    right equipment?

Thanks SS I have just run an OTA UHF separately (CM4228, CM7777, CM9521) and am awaiting the install from SBC / DISH. Have signed up for the 120 Value Pack with HBO, Cinemax and HD (thus the 811 and OTA). I will have a 522 installed to cover 2 more TV's in the house. I realize nobody knows...

    ceo@dishnetwork

don't know where you are located, or how long it has been since you were a customer, but SBC is giving me both an 811 and a 522 for lease for my upcoming install. I think there is a window of not having been a customer for a particular amount of time before they can re-sign you up with their...

    right equipment?

Thanks - I am planning on running RG6 and rotor wire separately from the dish cable. I just want to make sure that what SBC comes out with is the correct hardware - I do not want to deal with 49% problem with the 811's OTA (don't know if after a certain serial number it has an updated chip?) or...

    right equipment?

I am having SBC install a E* system on the 24th (1-811, 1-522) replacing my single SD receiver D*system and wanted to make sure that they are installing the correct dish so that I do not have to have it done again in the near future - with the (hopeful) addition of more HD's, I'd rather them...
