I've been using the homemade frame hitch for over a year now. It is wonderful. I also have a tripod put away. Have not had to use tripod since the hitch. I'm sure I will eventually but so far so good.

I hate tripods. They fall down. I fabricated a mount for my dish coming out of my receiver hitch on my rv. Just have to make sure I park northerly.

I don't stay in one spot long enough for wasps. I chase shutdowns all over the country. They are 2-6 weeks in length.

Is the mounting mast the same? I found on ebay for $50.00 dish with lnb 1000.2. We do "pay as you go".

Sorry, when I posted super dish i was wrongly putting 1000.2, 1000.4 all in one basket. I do get a lot of hd with the 500. How much more with one of these. Which one will work best on east and west? although we will not be east of Miss much.

Wife and I travel over most of the USA in our 5th wheel rv. We currently use a Dish 500 and have hd. What would we gain from a super dish?

we rv'ers have never had a phone line. We have" pay as you go" programming.

lol. I don't do beer though. Rv also had a splitter in the system cable. Wired wrong also. I removed it completely. This got us all the transponders back. New receiver was bad. It wouldn't even boot up the following day. This drove me "nuts". Never know what you will find hidden in these rvs.

My whole problem was the new receiver. Contacted Dish and they sent me a replacement and had absolutely no problems setting up receiver by zip code settings.

With the skew at 100 it was getting a very weak signal with 110. It was not green on signal bar. If I lowered elevation I lost 119. I have set up lots of dish 500s and never had this kind of problem. But this is my first trip this far north. I'm going to hire a dish installer and see if he can...

Well can't get most of the channels. No signal on most transformers.

Got it working. Signal strength is 119 60ish, 110 50ish. Had to back off skew 20 degrees. calls for 100 and I'm at 80. Elev at 48. calls for 43.

tomorrow. I get up at 3 o'clock. working tomorrow. I have seen a decent signal with 110 and 119 just not together. I have a sat finder also. Thanks a million.

skew is set by zip code, tripod is level. How much do I need to add or subtract? Golden is right next to the rockies. I don't believe I'm close enough to block signal though.

tightened settings and lost 110. Signal was that weak. probably need a larger dish this far north. This is a dish 500. do have 71% with 119 though.

Follow your instructions, found 119, fine tuned. Uncovered lnb and found 129. Skew has to be wrong.What am I missing here?

Well rotated west and found 110 but no 119. 60% strength. There are only a few dishes in this rv park. There is no cable offered here either. Large park too. Beginning to think this is hopeless.

I've set up many dish 500's down south with ease. I'm working up here in Denver area and this thing don't make sense. I set skew to 100 and elevation to 43 as per zip code. Get a signal on 129, 119, although weak. Since I have a 9 degree separation I assume skew is correct. But I'm 10 degrees...
