Last winter I used StarChoice while wintering near Tampa, FL. This coming winter I hope to return to BEV, as I understand more TP's are now reaching mid Florida. Am I correct or is the service still minimal for that area? Any help much appreciated....Florida SnowBirdy

Iceberg...I have the 315 and 205 two room receiver set up. The info you gave me re signal is for the HD? On my remote under OPTIONS I... use the 6-3-1 steps for signal....I don't have the 6-0-5. Is 299 the channel to start with? Is it the weakest transponder?? my 3rd question..is the skew...

I recently set up my 75e StarChoice dish [Florida, Tampa Bay] and I am wondering the correct sequence re peaking best signal strength. Locked on to satellite doing azimuth then elevation then skew...{average 70%} and would like to go higher %....is that the sequence to go for peak reception...

I am in Florida for the winter and not able to get my local channels from home..Indiana. Do I need put my Florida zip code in to get my locals from back home....they now come up blank. Get all the other channels I subscribe to. Thanks.

No HD receivers, connect direct with the dish..no switches. I think my problem is perhaps more wind related. Observing the dish in gusty winds, the dish shakes a little, maybe just enough to mess up the reception. I'm going to relocate the dish to a more stable fixture. Re the LNBF and the 4...

I'm thinking of repeaking the dish to see what happens. I'm losing the US networks, most of CBC and CTV. Get TSN solid and a few others OK with no problems. I have the 75e dish. Sunny days and I no problems, not rain fade. Signal on average runs around 70%...thanks.

I am still learning about the ins and outs of satellite TV. Why is it that different TP's give different signal strengths? My "local" channels are on TP 15 and with rain fad my signal suffers. Other TP's give on average (for me) 70 to 80%. With 13-14-15 TP's I get on average 60%. I must also...

signals Just looked at transponder13 and it swings 58 to 60%. When using the 6-1-1 check, how can I easily switch from transponder to transponder without going back and working my way up each channel, to search out the different transponders. Or can it be so simple as that???? seavu

signal strength Thanks IceBerg..I will check 13 and 14 later. Transponder15 is my weak signal and my local channel as well. The dish is located in Halifax NS and set up on a balcony..not the best..but worked fine last summer. I winter in Florida and get perfect signals there..except for those...
