The Hopper 3 must be connected to port 1 on the LNBF for it to work properly. Is your system running off port 2 of the lnb. That would be the 1st thing I would check.

Your Hopper missed the nighty download if you are getting that message. Make sure nothing is recording or set to record and put all your receivers in standby. The Hopper will automatically pull the update within 5 minutes.

What receiver do you have? The Hopper 3 will ONLY work on port 1.

Just saw a corporate response on the Dish Portal. It is a known issue and they are investigating it. We are not to replace hoppers because of this issue. So I'm not losing my mind and it is a software glitch after all.

No, but it looks identical to the 1000.2 except for the dish logo is in red.

Verified it only has 3 ports, 1 in and 2 out.

The new hybrid lnbs (both western and eastern arc) have 3 ports. 2 are outputs and there is 1 input. A three hopper system would not be possible with a one dish hybrid solution. You would have to use the 1000.2 with a duo and solo node.

You can buy a Polk Soundbar 5000 right from dish for $299. It's bluetooth so you can stream music and has a wireless woofer also. Had mine for about a year and have had no complaints.
