Thanks, I didn't know how they would respond to doing it before the bundle rate expired. Last time before I moved I was sent to retention and they hung up on me before I even spoke. Not like I was being mean or anything either.

I do like my services from my cable company. I would like to keep most of them. But I think my bundle pricing expires after this month or next month. If I can't get a good deal I'll have to downgrade my internet, eliminate some packages and possibly move my phone service to another provider...

They should be different. On the TiVO you can run a channel scan and it will pick up the cable company's QAM channel assignment for the digital channels you can get (I think). But you get little if any guide data and you can only access what's in the clear. I don't know if it will pick them...

Maybe at some point I'll get a TiVO. It'd have to be used though. Overall I would save a few $ per month over my DVR from the cable company, but only like $2-3 I don't like the way this one works and they have so little storage anyway.

I live in eastern CT too. The service has improved. Few internet outages, the picture is pretty good (though HD is very compressed). The customer service is meh and I don't think they even have their own techs come out this way......ever.

Is there any word on HD in easten CT? We still get very little for HD here. For the price, I'd expect some more channels. The service out this way is very poor too.
