Nope not scrambled, they are 4:2:2 video. Check out the DVB card forum for how to decode this. AFAIK there is only one STB that decodes this, the Qualitv receiver. Otherwise you'll need a PC DVB card.

If you already have two dishes you can also get a second receiver and be able to use both dishes simultaneously. I have two DVB cards in my machine, one connected to a 90cm Ku only dish and the other connected to the big dish (C/Ku). Both are slaved through blind scan capable Pansat receivers.

Does this decoder work with HD (either 4:2:0 or 4:2:2) resolutions? Their website implies that version 1.12 only goes to 768x576 but what is your experience? I would like to try this decoder as my impressions of Elecard are also not good and VLC is OK but could be better depending on the feed.

Perhaps Photoman can find you a DVB-S2 feed to try it on. The Pansat site seems to suggest that the DVB-S2 kit is optional. Do you have this with yours? If this unit can blind scan for DVB-S2 feeds I'm sold. 4:2:2 decoding would be nice but I still have 2 DVB cards in my PC for that.
