    Joey Warning 981

The hoppers have not been replaced. Do you think I should have dish send me two new hoppers and a new joey?

    Joey Warning 981

My setup is two Hoppers w/sling and one Joey. I installed both Hoppers just fine. then I went to install and download software on my joey, and I stopped at 50% restarted and went to warning 981 Boot Recovery, and sat there all night. So I called dish and got another one sent out so I could...

Can a 44 switch work like this?

Would adding any of the western arc feeds improve reliability then?

Can a 44 switch work like this?

I currently use a k.2 ea dish to a duo node. I get good signal, but I know for a fact two singles and a dpp 44 switch gets a lot better signal, would a 44 switch with two 61.5s and 72.7s work, for redundancies sake? I know it wouldn't double signal, but would it work as far as having twice the...

    Adding a third Hopper

That's why I love the Hopper system, It seems flexible, and hardy! The moca signal can travel through just about anything that carries a current.

That, my friend, is mildly epic. Hope those lines are labeled! I'm assuming you've got some sort of foreign language package requiring the use of the 118.

    Adding a third Hopper

Every one in while, my Joey remote just stops responding, I'll be using it, and it just stops working, pressing Sat usually fixes it, but sometimes i have to remove a battery for a second. Only happens on Joey though

    Adding a third Hopper

Bah! I do admit, three Hoppers is a bit overkill. But the Joeys seem unresponsive compared to the hopper, especially the hop w/sling. And this family is addicted to TV, in fact, I'm watching right now!

    Adding a third Hopper

Ha! well I appreciate the quick and knowledgeable responses! From what I've seen, DIRT is a pretty easy bunch to get along with. I'm not askin for any special treatment, just a special situation that I think DIRT would excel at helpin' me out with.

    Adding a third Hopper

I don't post much, but I'm constantly browsing! I'll get a hold of DIRT about it. I would really hope they don't make me start another account just for another building on my property! Especially because I'm saving them a van roll by doing this one on my own!

    Adding a third Hopper

The fact that it would be on a different arc would be the only thing I could see that would give me any issues. 1k.2 ea on the house, 1k.2 for the garage.

    Adding a third Hopper

The third hopper will probably be about 300-350 feet from the dish, so another dish would probably be needed. I can point a dish no problem, but it won't be able to be eastern arc for my hd locals. Not a big problem because it's only for a work on your car/get away from the wife type building, I...

    Adding a third Hopper

I've heard dish allows three hoppers on the same account. I've also heard you have to purchase the third Hopper. That's all fine and dandy. I will purchase a third hopper. My question is 1) How should I purchase the Hopper? Should I buy it from dish? Or should I purchase it off ebay or something...

    technical abilities of the hardware/software.

I realize that Dish probably wouldn't allow it to happen, but I'm just wondering about the technical maximum number of clients to one host. pretty much answered my question. plus I saw a wiring diagram of a 3H/2J setup which leads me to believe that the possibilities are virtually limitless with...

    technical abilities of the hardware/software.

I was just curious. I thought so because the only thing the hopper looks for a is a MAC address. if you had two hoppers, One of the hoppers would show the second hopper AND ALL connected joeys. so the connectivity pool isn't just limited to what they will allow you to lease.

    technical abilities of the hardware/software.

Basically one hopper will ONLY ever support up to 3 joeys? i guess to better word my question, if I ordered a hopper and three joeys, got it installed, then bought my own fourth joey, and tapped it in like normal, would the hopper recognize it?

    technical abilities of the hardware/software.

Okay, I know one hopper can control 3 joey's, I've installed that config before. The software just reads MAC addresses, or so I've gathered, so Dish only allows a 1H/3J or 2H/4J setup. but if one hopper can control 3 joey's, there's just about no reason two hoppers cant control 6 joey's or is...
