    The End of DIRECTV?

If I was AT&T and I wanted to save money I would basically kill all dish install in the urban areas. Save on equipment, install, staff and maintenance. And continue using Satellite in the Rural as much of the saving in the city would offset the rural but then it's depending on how many customers...

DirecTV Slim Line in Florida for FTA, need help

I don't think you will be able to get on that size dish because the PBS channels on KU are dvb-s2 and that dish maybe to small to receive the but you can try 125W otherwise until you can find a bigger dish most of what you are looking can be received OTA but that's no fun lol

Need help with hitting the arc on Kuband satellite

check the dish Elevation on those 3 Sats that you are able to get and see if it correspond with your location Elevation because something does not sound right that dish is more than big enough unless the Elevation is off or the stand is not plumb. And just to ask what type of Lnb are you using ?

Need help with hitting the arc on Kuband satellite

Try to see if you can hit 101 and then slowly try to see if you can hit 103 go on Sathint or Lyngsat for a working transponder. Put the dish on 99w then select a working transponder in the satmeter for 101W and the slowly move the dish in that direction you should lock a signal and do the same...

    fta in Hawaii

Looking at the Photo your Receiver looks like its a Freesat/Dynosat note that you will have to move that LNB or Dish slowly because that receiver as a slight delay when picking up the signal.

    fta in Hawaii

Do you still have the old LNB holder for the dish? If you do I would suggest you fit it back on there and take a accurate measurement of where the LNB sits and then you will know how to position that one. Or another solution is if you know the Exact Elevation of the dish set it there and take...

    Ku band dish

C band have more FTA channels available, it uses a different lnb, its not affected by rainfall as ku band and it also requires a bigger dish to get most of the Sats. You can use that size dish to get some Cband channels if you you buy a PLL Cband Lnb and a scalar ring. May not get all the sats...

Directv slimline dish... any use for it?

you could possibly get a few sats with it it narrow down the sats you would like to receive then base on your location see which of those have the strongest beam in your area. You can check lyngsat Map or Satbeams. 97w would be a good sat as it as lots of dvb-s signals

I can relate to that one, bought a newer one though the Freesat V8 but it looks almost identical to the satlink. Will try for 87w Cband when I go back to Jamaica but I really want 97w 99w and 103w C band. Don't know if I can get all that on a 6ft dish but willing to try. Someone said I point the...
