No way does the barrel connector equal a 3dB loss, we figure 1 dB connection in our MDU schemes and have measure less than that. (assuming use of a quality compression end and HF quality barrel)

Any new Alaska 129 info? One of my Dish distributers said they couldn't find it with a 6' and the other said it goes in and out on a 1M. I guess I'll have to play with it when it warms up a bit.

I would re-aim your 1M at the 110 to see what kind of signal strenth you get on the 110 if you have a line of site, my guess is you'll be better off with a 1.2M down there for the 110.

That's crazy that Fairbanks is on a 110 spotbeam, what are they thinking? I haven't played with the 129 yet, I'm hoping to be able to pick it up on a 1.8M dish, but we will see.

Ummm, the Alaska spotbeam is tp 9 on the 119.... and you will need a 1M dish and 1.8M dish for a decent dish 500 install, but it will require 2 cables from the dishes to the dist. point. You can run all the receivers you want with a single cable to the dish to the dist point, and you can even...

6coho, I recommend you realign your 6' to the 110 sat and add a 1M or 4' for the 119. That will give you the bulk of the HD programming and is the setup I have. We have experimented with the 129 and it seems to be to week to pick up effectively with a 6' dish unfortunately. Maybe Dish has...
