To get to Altitude HD I have to actually enter 412-02 to get the HD channel or go through the guide. Otherwise I just get the SD version and hitting channel up skips the HD channel also.

1000 and a 942

I had a problem getting even transponders on 129. I moved the dish, now I get all 119 and 129, but only evens on 110. any ideas on what the problem is?

I have been having an issue with my 942. When I run check switch I get only 129 even transponders. I have a 1000 dish. Is this a bad lnb? It doesn't seem to me it could be misalinged or bad cable since it can pick up part of 129 Thank you in advance

I noticed at Costco the other day, they had INHD on the screen as part of the Dish HD sample they show.

It doesn't make sense that they would put the new national hd channels in mpeg4 then. that would mean most of the HD customers wouldn't be able to see the Olympics in HD. Maybe the wait until Feb 1 is to get the process rolling on the switchover to mpeg4 receivers for those who have HD...

Maybe the delay is to get the transition started now from mpeg2 recievers to mpeg4 for those of us with HD by Feb 1

My wife, who works for E*, was told today there is an employee meeting tommorow pertaining to a special announcement....the 2 rumors are either E* got to 12 million subscribers (a big goal of theirs) or that they are being bought.

if some of your locals are on 129, make sure you ask for your locals, not HD. if you ask for locals, they will install the 1000 for free. after the install, call up and ask for the Voom channels. If you say you want the 1000 for Voom, they will charge you for the install.

Watching the hockey game last night on HDnet I noticed the freezing of the video also

My caller ID works just fine and I can order movies with no problem with my 942 using Vonage

since 282, mine is working again.

New Problem with 282 If I pick the channel on PIP that I want by browsing, then when I use the EPG and select a channel to watch, the new channel plus the PIP window show up.

I noticed one of the pictures said a "2 Day EPG". That doesn't seem right. Is that a typo?
