Getting HD locals from another area

Move from BG I live in Bowling Green, KY and was hoping someone could give me some info on "moving" to Nashville. I checked and the Nashville stations look to be on 129, TP13. I get 70% strength (raining today). Is that good enough? If so, what do I do? Thanks.

    March Madness

Does anyone know if DISH is going to offer a package for NCAA March Madness games? If so, will any of them be high def? I can (of course) no longer get CBS from New York (I live in KY), and they don't offer locals in my area. Thanks.

    211 Running Bug Thread

VIP211 Software L2.64 Dish1000 with DP344 switch. Noticed tonight while watching both SD and HD, receiver would drop satellite signal. Pushing any button on the remote would bring the picture back to the screen, but after 2-3 minutes it would drop again. Happened on multiple channels...

    CBS HD East

Can anyone recommend the best source for getting a DISH 300/500? The tech who did the install took my 500, and I didn't know I needed to ask him to leave it... I spoke with Cust. Svc and they told me it would cost $99 to get the install done.

    CBS HD East

Hoping someone can help me out with this. I subscribed to the HD pack to get NCAA in High Definition, under the impression that I would be able to get CBS-HD. I currently get CBS in SD as a distant network from Atlanta. Since the upgrade, I've been told that I do not qualify for CBS in HD...

    Question about CBS-HD

    Question about CBS-HD

I have a question about HD distant networks and was hoping someone could help. I just upgraded to HD, and receive Atlanta CBS as a distant network. I thought I could expect to receive the CBS-HD feed when I got the VIP211. I'm being told I can't, and that I can't receive the CBS east coast...

    VERY upset customer

This is a follow-up to my original post, to be fair to DISH. I received a call from a representative at the regional DISH technical office on Friday (the following) morning. The representative was apologetic for the way the issue was handled, and asked when the earliest time I would be...

    VERY upset customer

I keep hearing that Dish has better quality HD, but I refuse to give them my business if they work under the premise that I have to pay for their mistakes. I'll cancel all my satellite service before I continue to give my money to a company like that. Apparently even Mr. Laslo (CEO...

    VERY upset customer

I've heard some stories like this, so I thought I'd post mine as well. As a birthday gift (mainly for me) my wife wanted us to upgrade our DISH service to HD in time for the NCAA tournament. We had an install scheduled for this morning, and were to have a DISH1000, VIP211, and another...

    ViP211 Upgrade Question

I just looked at the DishNetwork website. It says an upgrade to the VIP211 would cost $49.00, and that's to have someone come out and install the receiver. I'm wondering if I need to have the Dish1000 upgrade as well. Would that be included in the $49.00 fee, or is there an additional fee...

    211 Receiver question

Hopefully someone can answer this for me. My TV is HD capable, but doesn't have an OTA HD tuner. Will the 211 work as an OTA receiver, if a user is NOT a DISH subscriber? Just a question I'd like to have answered when trying to decide whether to lease or buy the 211. Thanks for the help.

Signficantly viewed for Bowling Green, KY

Does anyone know if there is a plan to offer "Enhanced Locals" to the Bowling Green area out of Nashville? I've checked the FCC website and per their list, Bowling Green qualifies as a significantly viewed marked for Nashville stations.
