DRM isn't the issue DRM is not your issue. My 721 with L612 gets CH 501 using component video to the TV.

For the Dodger games that are broadcast on Prime Ticket in HD you can record them from Dish channel 5411. I know that doesn't help for the games broadcast on KCAL-9.

Update: Per 8bit's suggestion I changed the DishPass to start recording 0 minutes early instead of 3 minutes early. This avoided the misbehavior, at least this time. When I asked to start over viewing the recording while it was still being recorded, it did show the slate for a second or so...
