Try this. Pause the still recording show and use guide to watch another show. Then use RECALL instead of DVR to resume the original show. Just don't watch so many shows it rolls off recall and I haven't tried it over an hour.

Even if the RF remote isn't switchable to TV1 you could still control TV1 from other rooms using any of the various brands of wireless and wired IR repeaters. I control my TIVO and DVD player that way from 3 other rooms. Jud in Dallas
