Where did you see or here this ? I called to check and they told me that CW was not offered as a distant network in SD or HD. The only way to get it is if it is available in you local channels.

No OTA channels available. I do not even get the networks (ABC/NBC/CBS) to many mountains.

Does DirectTV have any channels that broadcast the CW network ? They do not have locals in my area. I am eligable for distant locals but they do not list the CW network and we watch that channel a lot. Thanks

I too would like to see a poll of people that have no choice. I live in a rural area in PA that cannot receive over the air signals and locals are not currently offered (and I don't think they ever will be). Hell, I don't even have cable available. My only choice for the networks is distant...

I have the same problem. The EPG only shows info for the next hour. After that it says NO INFO AVAILABLE. Rebooting hasen't helped. This just started when I received the 2.91 upgrade.

I currently have a DVR 522 with a Dish 500. I just purchased a new Sony SXRD HD TV. If I was to get a 942 so I could get the HD programming, is it just a receiver swap ? Can I just unhook the 522 and hook up the 942 without changing anything outside on the dish ? Also what would be required to...

Same here. Mine runs most of the time now. Hardly ran at all before the last update.

It would be GREAT if we could use the usb port to add external hard drives. If they would do this it would make the possible disk storage space unlimited ! Joe

I have gotten it twice since the update. Never had it before. Both times I was doing a search. The searches seamed like they were taking a long time then I would get the diagnostic screen.

I have to disagree ! The padding is NOT taken away. I am running in single user mode and if I schedule two programs on the same channel that run back to back and leave the default padding the first show is set to TV1 the second show is set to TV2 and if I try to schedule a third on a different...

I got it the other night to. Recorded two shows last night and the video was fine BUT the audio dropped out about every 10 to 15 seconds. Totally unwatchable. My boot strap is 1414GALD. Will see what happens tonight. Joe

That's how it should work. BUT the info bar does not change when in single user mode. It always shows TV1.

I know it dosen't really matter. But if I have a show that is going to record on say tuner 2 at say 8:00 and I am watching a show during that time it gets cut off if I am also on tuner 2 Then I have to press swap and tune to the show I was watching. If I knew ahead of time that I was on tuner 2...

I just had a problem with single mode. I use the optical output. I was watching a movie and a timer went off that was set to record a movie to TV2. I lost all sound. To get it back I had to channel up and then back and the sound came back on.

I to am having the problem with the receiver not recording the correct channel if it is a channel that is not on the current favorites list. It tunes to the closest channel number on the list and records that. :mad:
