    Very true! Also they are broadcast in either 720P or 1080i which makes them HD! Just no 16x9.

    Adequate Signal Strength

    Ihave since trimmed some of the branches since this photo, but I get signals on all 5 sats in the 90's, with a couple 100's. I assume the signal is probably from much higher up than it looks, or I'm very lucky!

    I think you have to understand that some of the older movies were possibly not HD quality to begin with, and are upconverted somehow. I may be wrong. It seems to me that the live stuff always looks better, along with the more current shows.

    5LNB Pole Mount

    My drill bits wouldn't penetrate the pole, so I went out and got 2 2" muffler clamps and secured them to the bottom of the pole before I cemented. Keeps the pole from twisting.

    Once I had signal locked from my Slimline, I did use a meter to fine tune. It made a little difference but not much. I have signals from high 80's to high 90's. and even a couple of 100's on all 5 sats.

    I'll gladly pay for equipment, as long as a D* installer doesn't come within 100 yards of my house! Too many horror stories! Good question though!
