    Aspect Ratios On Voom STB

    Same problem here(Hittachi 42HDT50) receiver set in 1080i mode. Looks crap(picture is cut from all sides) when use 16:9 Zoom. No other option available. Voom receiver won't stretch by itself in 1080i mode.

    Stuck STB

    My STB gets stuck on one channel and it won't list channels let alone play. It doesn't even allow me to turn it off from remote button(satellite). I have to switch off from power line to bring it back up. Has happened atleast 3-4 times in last month.

    I was wondering if you are talking about stuck pixles(bug) in left side of screen (as reported) or in general, 'coz i saw these white pixles in right side of the screen and i had to turn tv off/on to fix it.

    Does signal strength have anything to do with the quality of the picture. ? Will i get better picture with signal strength of 95 than signal strength of 55. ?

    New I am scheduled for a installation on 5/12. I am not much into fixing stuff myself or living on the edge, so if this doesn't work out i am going to Charter HD. Man, This forum is depressing.
