Hi, In looking over the new E10 spotbeam maps at http://ekb.dbstalk.com/297 I noticed that Spotbeam 39 (LA/SD) has transponder 31 listed (Tony mentioned this as well in an earlier thread), however http://www.dishchannelchart.com/ doesn't indicate that any stations are on this transponder...

Sure ... however I want to know how much better my signal strength will be if I were to use an old VOOM dish (24" diameter) than my Dish500 dish (21" by 23" eliptical ...) if I were aiming directly at 110. I would guess that the Dish500 would effectively give me something comparable to a 21"...

I hate to disagree ... especially over such a piddly issue ... but the spotbeams are such that one in a fairly broad target zone can get a strong signal, but as one moves away from this zone, the signal strength decreases, and fairly rapidly at that. I live in a region where I am served equally...
