    Whole Home DVR Question

If I break down and activate it for $5/month, will it work if I don't keep it connected to the satellite?

    Whole Home DVR Question

I'd like to add the ability, in my son's room, to watch recorded shows using the Whole Home DVR service. However, I don't want to pay another $5/month to add another receiver to my account and go through the hassle of running more lines from my dish to house, since there would be no need to...

Oops. I read it wrong. Thanks again

    2 RF remotes 1 receiver?

rad thanks. You got me most of the way there, but after entering the RID number you have to press select not dash. I have an HR22 and an R16. Both have internal RF antennas and was able to set up both receivers with 2 RF remotes, because they both run 2 TVs. I picked up 4 RC64R remotes on...

    2 RF remotes 1 receiver?

Is it possible to program 2 RF remotes to work a single receiver? My HD DVR is setup in my Family Room, but I have a line run to my bedroom as well, so I can watch it there as well. I'd like to have an RF remote in each room. Thanks.

On Demand. Dish vs. DirecTv. Which is better?

It seems like an easy way for D* or E* to differentiate themselves from one another and eliminate the only real advatage cable has over satellite. Not exactly easy, but it seems easier than launching a satellite into space

On Demand. Dish vs. DirecTv. Which is better?

This is basically what I'm trying to find out. Right now comcast has seasons 3, 4, 5, and 6 on HBO VOD so I've been watching old episodes getting ready for the new season. There are also times where I stumble onto a good movie 15 minutes in, start recording it and then flip over to On Demand...

On Demand. Dish vs. DirecTv. Which is better?

Is there a way I can browse the content online before making a decision? 100% of comcast vod I watch is free, with 75% of that from a premium channel and the other 25% of childrens programming (disney, etc). What I'm hearing so far is that d* beats e* from a functionality standpoint and...

On Demand. Dish vs. DirecTv. Which is better?

I know it's not the same as cable VOD, but with a reasonably fast broadband connection, will it be good enough for occasional use? Does the download have to be complete before you can start watching, or can you start watching once a sufficient buffer is established? If it's a free program...

On Demand. Dish vs. DirecTv. Which is better?

I looking to finally get out from under the oppressive Comcast empire and their On Demand programming. I know asking which is better will only provide me with opinions, but that's all I'm looking for. I posted this in the Dish forum, because there are 2x as many viewers at this moment...

Thinking of switching back to Dish

I left Dish a few years back when VOOM launched and after they crashed I switched to Comcast, where I've stayed for the last few years because of their On Demand offerings. Comcast has raised package fees, DVR fees, etc. every year since I've been a customer and my bill is now over $150 with...

    Sirius Customer Service

Can someone give me an email address to someone that can help me resolve a sirius customer service issue. I apologize in advance for the long post, but I'm still steaming.. I've been a Sirius customer for 3+ years and I'm maxed out with 4 receivers on my account. 3 weeks ago my wife got a...

    Best New Dish Subscriber Offer?

What is the best new subscriber offer I can get right now, if I want a 622 receiver and the Dish HD Platinum package? I was a dish network subscriber for years, but cancelled for VOOM. I signed up with Comcast out of convenience after VOOM suddenly shut down. I've stayed with Comcast...

I've just received this email from Voom...

I haven't received this email yet and I've received other communications from VOOM before, so I know they have my correct email address

Can I subscribe to locals only?

I forgot about that, I might have some club dish left for a few months. Hopefully it'll last until Voom releases their PVR.

Can I subscribe to locals only?

Thanks for the info. With 3 receivers and the HD pak its more like $105. I'm definately going to drop to the $5.99+$5 package.

Can I subscribe to locals only?

I currently have Dish AEP + VaVaVoom. The only reason I keep Dish is the PVR. I can't live without it, but I realized the majority of the programs I record are on local network stations. Is it possible to subscribe to only the local channels? I have a PVR508 with no fees, so locals only...

    surprised

No DVR on VOOM is why I keep E* and more HD premiums is why I have VOOM. As soon as VOOM rolls their DVR, E* is history. Sure I'll miss DIY & HGTV, but the extra $110/month will help me cope.

    TNT HD on Voom???

With the Timberwolves headed to the Western Conference Finals after tomorrow's win against Sacramento, it would be nice to get TNT HD on Voom. I did a Google search this morning on "TNT HD" and the lone sponsored link was from Voom. Is this a hint of things to come, or do they sponsor any...
