Why is it not a surprise that SC would not offer HD ? Do they lack the bandwidth ?

Did you have to have the HD Package to view all the games ?

According to kusat the SC HD STB is above $100 more then the BEV and if I understand things correctly I will need to get the SC dish, lnb and switch will increases shipping cost. If I go with BEV I can pickup the LNBs locally and just get the switch sent with the receiver saving some shipping.

So if I don't have the BEV HD package I will only get to see the 4 games in their HD NFLST slots which most likely be less then 4 games since the CBS-E, CBS-W, Fox-E, Fox-W and Global HD channels get first "dibs" on those games.

I just called KuSat and they said neither SC or BEV would have an HD version of NFLST, does this sound right ?

Vicki - NESN = New England Sport Network. It carries the Red Sox and Bruins games in HD, so it obviously a RSN but has nothing to do with Fox. The Fox affiliate in Boston carries very little local sports, just an occasional baseball game.

If Voom had a DVR and NESNHD I would switch from Comcast.

I do have a far amount of room to swivel the dish left. My D* dish is a newer one, or at least I bought new 6 months ago. Vurbano mentioned below Voom uses one of the three lnbs, does it matter which one or is it simply the one that points 61.5. I think I might a Voom customer soon :)

My Voom azimuth is 166 and my D* azimuth is 235. I not real good with cartesian math but if I understand things correctly, I think I need to swivel my dish left. How much left I have no clue :) I also need to elevate by 7 degrees.

I read elsewhere that I can get ST without a commitment. It looks like I can get a 3 LNB dish off ebay for roughly $40 and a HD receiver (LG 3200A) from J&R for $450. Is this the best I can do ?

No equipment cost and no committment. I was a D* customer and was unhappy with their best offer for upgrading to HD so I cancelled my service. I would really like to see regional sports feeds so I choose between NFL HD games.

Are there any additional discounts or credits for leaving D* ? I plan to reuse my D* mount for Voom and if there is additional discount for taking away my D* dish then I will elave it up :)
